| Born on February 3, 1961 in Hastings, Nebraska. My family moved to Utah in 1963 I have had no formal training as an artist but have always been encouraged by my school teachers while growing up. An artist is a part of who I am and it is a gift I appreciate very much! I lean towards "realism" as my style. I have always enjoyed the challenge of recreating what I see and putting it on paper or canvas and then taking what I have learned as an artist, adding a few extra details here and there. My subjects have included everything from people, animals, aircraft, landscapes, ships and some still-life's in several mediums including graphite, colored pencil, pastel, watercolor, oil and photography. I have received 2 Best of Show awards, 5 First place awards, 2 Second place awards and also a Peoples Choice Award! I am happily married to my wife and best friend, Sandy. She has helped me turn a life long dream into a reality. I also want to thank my children, family and friends for their encouragement and support. |
